We are a husband and wife team of pastry chefs, parents and armchair botanists.
Our story began in New York City in 2004 where we married and started our pastry careers. After training at the French Culinary Institute, we developed our skills in bakeries, catering, fine dining restaurants and cake studios in New York City, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles. Sixteen years, countless hot kitchens and two kids later, we are happy to call Temecula, California home.
As a cottage food bakery, LILA Cake Shop is a very personal endeavor rooted in a desire to bake and design with artistry and intention. Though it goes without saying, as career bakers we care as much about flavor as we do about design. Every component - from the cake, to the fillings, to the buttercream flowers - is mindfully prepared.
Our aesthetic is nature-inspired and flowers are the focal point of every design. Since settling in Temecula, we’ve fallen in love with gardening and hope that our appreciation for nature comes through in our cakes.
We truly believe that life is precious and that all of our milestones deserve to be celebrated with something beautiful and delicious — now more than ever. We can’t wait to work with you.
